Change of management at Inalfa Roof Systems Group
Marcel Schabos (64), President & CEO of Inalfa Roof Systems Group in Venray, has decided to step down per 1st July 2013 and to transfer his duties to his successor Dr. Frank Löschmann (49).
Schabos has been working with Inalfa since 2007, first as a supervisory director and later as the President & CEO of the globally operating manufacturer of roof systems for the car industry. His decision was ratified this week by the Board of Supervisory Directors and the shareholder, the Chinese company BHAP. At the request of the Board of Supervisory Directors, Schabos will continue to make a contribution to the developments at Inalfa and BHAP as an advisor.
Schabos: 'At the end of 2008, my fellow supervisory directors asked me whether I would be able to replace the departing CEO on a temporary basis. This temporary basis has now turned out to be four and a half years, which I look back on with great satisfaction, with a fantastic team around me, but now it is time to enjoy some more of the other things in life. I am certain that my successor, Frank Löschmann, has the personality and the qualities to lead Inalfa with great zest to the next level in the development of the business.'
In recent years, Inalfa Roof Systems has grown enormously. This year alone, two new factories have been opened in China and one in Korea. The factory in Slovakia has also been expanded because of the growing number of orders, and later this year, two new factories are being opened in Poland and in Georgia, USA. The future of Inalfa Roof Systems looks particularly good and the management expect, on the basis of orders placed, to be able to realise a turnover of 1 billion euros. By now, practically all the big car producers are among the clients of Inalfa, who were recently joined by the Japanese car manufacturer Honda.
The Chinese shareholder BHAP is pleased with the successor who has been found in Dr. Frank Löschmann, as the new President & CEO of Inalfa Roof Systems Group.
Löschmann has over twenty years experience in the car industry, of which a large part has been in various top positions with the Volkswagen Group worldwide. His broad knowledge in the area of strategic planning, product development, manufacturing, engineering and international management will help Inalfa on the way to continued growth and development, as now set out in the company's strategic plan.
Schabos will remain available until at least 1st September 2013 to ensure a seamless and smooth transfer of duties to Löschmann.
