Inalfa Cherokee facility officially open
On Thursday 30th October last Inalfa opened its largest assembly facility in Georgia, USA. Inalfa Roof Systems worldwide has undergone a remarkable series of events that illustrates the rapid growth of our company.
Since 2009, we strategically decided to more than double our efforts in technical innovation with a clear objective to move from a fast follower to an innovation leader. These efforts are now paying off and we are establishing deeper strategic relationships with our customers.
In 2010 & 2011 as the North American market rebounded it became clear that we needed to address the growing demand in the Southeast USA to satisfy our customers and growth of the business. Planning started for a new facility in 2012.
In 2013, the Rooker group worked closely with our Inalfa Team, Cherokee County representatives and a host of other suppliers to design, build and complete the facility in 6 months for our scheduled move in November of 2013.
"As we finished the last wall of the facility, we were already back in the planning mode to add the expansion we are occupying today; quite a remarkable task for IRS and our partners. " CEO IRS NA Doug Rizzi explained.
The operation currently produces roof systems for BMW, Ford and Nissan programs. In 2015 we will add GM business and glass encapsulation capabilities; representing further investment to achieve our business growth.
Currently over 250 employees are working in the Inalfa Cherokee facility. With the continued growth of the business, we expect this facility to grow beyond 400 employees by 2016.
The facility was officially opened by representatives from the government of Georgia and Cherokee, management of IRS NA, the IMT and the developer.
